Catching Up!

Just to warn you, this photo a day probably won’t work. Maybe I’ll try for 30 days. Anyways, I’ll check in as often as I can. Being 15 I have boring exams and stuff. I like school but I can’t STAND the exams and revision that come with them. Shame! It’s January 5th today (boo hoo, Christmas decorations come down tomorrow) so I’m just posting the pictures from the days that I missed. I only found out about Photo A Day 2007 today. I was crying half the afternoon. I am sick and tired and overworked, I guess. I am fed up of revision. There is so little time left until exams and not enough time to revise everything. Not to mention the fact that my Maths book was taken by another girl who now denies its existence! Sorry, am I moaning? No wonder nobody has commented on my blog yet?  I’ll be happy from now on.

That is me.  I decided to get in front of the camera two days ago because I always seem to be behind it. What will my children think when they find no pictures of their mother as a child in the family album? I know it’s grainy, I know! But I LOOOVE grain. Like my new dress? I love vintage style clothes too (although I found this in Primark)! Ha!

That’s just one of the blackberry brambles in our garden. In the summer they are bursting with fresh ripe blackberries that we spend hours picking and eating and making jam and preserve with. It’s weird to see the brambles so bare and barren. The next one is of my reflection with the camera in an old Victorian bathtub on our bonfire. Our garden is a GREAT haven for picture taking!

Last but not least is an apple. I saw it in our garden and thought it looked so lone and sad that it just begged for a picture to be taken of it. It looked so helpless and sad. So I put it out of its misery and snapped a photograph - then I ate it! I realised why it was a lonely apple….boy, was it sour! Hehe….serves me right for picking on miserly apples. Anyways, that’s it. I’m all up to date. See you tomorrow!

Let’s Fry Mushrooms!

I don’t know why I like this image. Just one of those pictures that you love despite all that is wrong with it! I like the truth in it and the grain and the tones. So, here’s my first photo post for the challenge. Here’s to many, many more! :-}

Photo A Day 2007

Well, hello all! I am not completely new to blogging - last year I had numerous tries all of which failed time and time again. The header wouldn’t work, I wasn’t committed enough, I had no camera to post pictures with. This year I am determined for it all to work. Determined! I keep a handwritten diary so I don’t see how this will be much different, fingers crossed!   A little about me….. I am Louise and I am 15, I still go to school and I love it and I love to write, to read and to take photographs. I like the way that, when you have a camera in your hand, you can document every single thing around you and treasure it forever like a sweet secret. It gives you a place in the world. I think I want to be a photojournalist, or perhaps a portrait photographer. I want to do so many things! I want to publish a book, I want to teach children, I want to adopt, I want to start a charity, I want to be a mother and I want to live a long happy life. As long as I don’t try to do them all at once, I think I’ll be okay!

For Photo A Day 2007 I am going to pick up the camera once a day and document my life, as it is. So be prepared for truthful and honest images. Of course, honesty is the best policy….right? I’ll see you all around!
